Nick Jonas has called the Squatty Potty “the best thing ever” and jokes men should write their wives a letter to defend keeping the bathroom stool at home
Nick Jonas is offering relationship advice.
During a Wednesday appearance on BBC Radio 1, the singer praised the Squatty Potty and shared guidance for married men trying to introduce the toilet accessory at home. Nick Jonas told host Matt Edmondson he is a firm supporter of the stool, which raises a user’s legs to help ease bowel movements.
Calling it “the best thing ever,” Jonas responded after Edmondson admitted his own “poop stool” had not been a hit in his household. “I’ve got one, and honestly, it’s not gone down well,” Edmondson said. Jonas replied with a tongue-in-cheek suggestion. “Not to give you marriage advice here … you should write a letter explaining why it’s so important to you to have this,” Jonas said.

He added, “And even though it gets in the way, it shouldn’t get in the way of your relationship. That’s my unsolicited marriage advice for you today.”
Clips of the exchange circulated online, drawing support from fans in the comments.
“@nickjonas you are so REAL for this!” one person wrote.
Another praised the singer’s “down to earth” attitude.
A third commenter weighed in, saying, “As a nutritionist specialist in gastroenterology and gut health, I assure you: the little bench to elevate your feet is the best thing you could do to your intestines health! :)”
Jonas, 33, married actor Priyanka Chopra in 2018 after a multi-day wedding celebration. The couple welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie, via surrogate in 2022.
The singer has previously shared details about their home life.
In August 2025, Jonas appeared on the social media series Are You Okay? where he described what he called his “beige flag.”
“I think beds are for sleeping only,” he said. “Like, I don’t sit on the bed, I don’t eat on the bed, I don’t read a book in bed or watch TV. I can’t do it.”
He explained his reasoning, saying, “I just don’t like it to get warm,” the singer said. “I run hot. It’s a whole thing.”
Jonas said he adjusts if his wife wants to relax differently.
He noted that if Chopra wants to watch something in bed, he will “pull a seat up and sit next to the bed.”
