Trending Now: Steve Martin and Martin Short bringing comedy show to Des Moines this fall – Fans React

“Back by popular demand,” Steve Martin and Martin Short are returning to the Civic Center this fall, according to Des Moines Performing Arts.

Bringing their legendary friendship and laughs to Des Moines on Sunday, Oct. 11, DMPA describes their humor as often subversive, but always a “joyous self-deprecating romp.”

With a friendship spanning over four decades, the two initially met on the set of the 1986 film “Three Amigos.” Now, they’ve been touring together since 2015, bringing chuckles and smiles to wherever they go.

Tickets for “The Best of Steve Martin & Martin Short” go on sale Friday, Feb. 13, at 10 a.m. They can be purchased at DMPA.org, by calling (515) 246-2300 or by visiting the Civic Center Ticket Office (221 Walnut St.) in person.

“The jokes come at you at a rapid-fire pace with little set-up and big punch lines as they mock Hollywood and the fickle nature of celebrity,” a DMPA press release says. “The comedy truly soars when they lovingly – and relentlessly – roast each other.”
