11:43 p.m. – A deputy spoke with a 41 year-old woman who was receiving unwanted text messages from her 35-year-old ex-husband. The woman was advised to block the telephone number, and the deputy advised the man to stop communicating with the woman per her request.

6:24 p.m. – A deputy spoke with a 32-year-old Warren Township woman who said she is going through a divorce with her 33-year-old husband. She said she records her interactions with him for her safety and wanted to know if that was legal. The deputy answered her questions and the incident was documented.

3:54 p.m. – A deputy contacted a Porter Township man who was in need of assistance for possibly being in possession of a stolen car out of a different county. This incident was referred to the sheriff’s office, which is investigating the matter.

3:07 p.m. – A deputy was dispatched to a Lincoln Township location, where a woman said she was mistakenly dropped off by a family member to the wrong location. She was taken to the correct location.

1:23 p.m. – A deputy was dispatched to a residence in Jerome Township for a complaint by a neighbor of reckless driving. The deputy talked with a 20-year-old man about his driving, advised him of the consequences for reckless driving and warned him to stop it. The incident was documented.

1:17 p.m. – A deputy was dispatched to a Lee Township residence for a traffic complaint. A 16-year-old boy reported a vehicle sped past him and was too close to him while he stood on the side of the road with his scooter. The deputy contacted the 37-year-old male driver, who denied what the 16-year-old reported and even that the 16-year-old was on or near the road with his scooter. Both parties were satisfied after the deputy spoke with each of them about sharing the roads, wearing visible clothing and driving safe.

10:32 a.m. – Deputies responded to a Jerome Township home and arrested a 48-year-old man on five warrants out of Midland County. The man was lodged at the Midland County Jail.

9:13 a.m. – Deputies responded to a Mills Township home and talked with a 30-year-old woman who said she was going through a breakup. The woman said no assault occurred, and her former boyfriend left prior to deputies arriving. Deputies gave the woman information about state and local resources that might be helpful to her.

12:35 a.m. – A deputy responded to a Jasper Township residence for an 18-year-old man who didn’t want his 18-year-old ex-girlfriend to be on the property. The deputy contacted the woman and she left the area.

9:47 p.m. – Deputies were dispatched to a Larkin Township location for a 21-year-old man who had suicidal ideations and was attempting to harm himself. He was transported to the hospital, where a mental health petition was completed.

4:53 p.m. – A deputy was dispatched to a Mills Township location in reference to a possible criminal complaint. The 42-year-old male complainant and his juvenile son said a possible criminal matter occurred in the city of Midland. The deputy took down their info and turned the investigation over to Midland police.

2:45 p.m. – Deputies were dispatched to Lee Township residence regarding a domestic violence incident. Deputies talked with a 29-year-old man, a 36-year-old woman, a 61-year-old woman and a 21-year-old woman during their investigation. They then arrested the 21-year-old woman for domestic violence and she was lodged in the Midland County Jail.  

2:17 p.m. – Deputies were dispatched to a Larkin Township residence to assist a 38-year-old resident attempting to locate his 33-year-old brother-in-law, who was traveling from Canada to Michigan. The brother-in-law is a Canadian resident and was overdue to arrive at the Larkin residence. Through investigation and talking with the family, it was found that the brother-in-law had been temporarily detained by U.S. Customs and Border Protection while attempting to cross into Michigan from Ontario.  

1:29 p.m.  – Deputies responded to a Midland Township residence and conducted a well-being check on a 10-year-old girl who resides with her 45-year-old father. The girl’s mother, who resides out of the area, requested the well-being check. Deputies talked with the girl and her father. The girl was found to be in good health and was advised to call her mother.

10:51 p.m. – A 33-year-old woman reported she had an argument with her 34-year-old husband over ongoing relationship issues. She said that during the argument, her husband requested her to move out and took her clothes out of the closet and threw them at her. The woman reported a hanger struck her in the process.  

8:46 p.m. – A deputy spoke with a 33-year-old Bay City man who said his friend, a 51-year-old Lee Township man, had the younger man’s electric bicycle at his residence and wouldn’t give it back. The deputy spoke with the 51-year-old, who was cooperative and arranged for the complainant to pick up his property.

4:40 p.m. – Deputies were dispatched to an Edenville Township residence for a suicidal 46-year-old man. The man was transported to MyMichigan Medical Center for a mental health petition.

11:42 a.m. – Deputies were dispatched to the Law Enforcement Center for a report of a domestic assault that occurred over 18 months ago at a Midland Township business. The man reporting the assault left the LEC prior to deputies arriving. Deputies called the man in an attempt to obtain his statement but could not reach him.

11:20 a.m. – A deputy was dispatched to a Mills Township residence for a 66-year-old man plowing snow off of his property and onto the other side of the road. The deputy located the man and advised that all snow must remain on his property and must not be pushed across a road, into a ditch or onto another person’s property.

8:23 a.m. – A deputy was responding to a slideoff in Larkin Township when a second vehicle also slid off the roadway. This second vehicle was removed from the ditch and had no damage.

6:26 a.m. – A deputy was dispatched to a one-vehicle crash, with injuries, in Jasper Township. The 73-year-old male driver was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

1 a.m. – Deputies were dispatched to Lee Township regarding a 48-year-old woman reporting that someone with an unknown number texted her stating they were looking in her windows. Deputies checked the residence but didn’t find anything suspicious.
