Marc Anthony has finally commented on the ongoing Beckham family drama surrounding Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding to Nicola Peltz in 2022.

Brooklyn had publicly alleged that his mother, Victoria Beckham, disrupted his first dance with Nicola, describing her actions as “very inappropriate” and leaving him “uncomfortable” and “humiliated.”

Anthony, who performed at the wedding, spoke to “The Hollywood Reporter”. “It’s extremely unfortunate how it’s playing out,” he said. “But [how it’s playing out] is hardly the truth.”

The singer has a long-standing relationship with the Beckhams, having known David and Victoria since before their children were born. He is also godfather to their youngest son, Cruz Beckham, and referred to the family as “wonderful, wonderful”, while choosing not to comment on the details of the incident.

Brooklyn’s accusations gained attention on social media, where he claimed that Victoria hijacked the first dance, which had been planned weeks in advance. According to Brooklyn, Anthony invited him onstage for what should have been a private romantic moment, only to find his mother waiting.

Reports indicate that the situation reflects wider tensions within the Beckham family, with Brooklyn publicly expressing feelings of distance from his parents.

Anthony’s comments, however, suggest a more measured perspective, highlighting the difference between public perception and private family dynamics.

Recently, Romeo shared photos of a new neck tattoo that simply says “Family”. No hashtags, no long caption, no emoji circus, just “Family”. That tells you a lot without saying much at all. It’s the kind of move that feels less like a press release and more like a personal statement.

This came shortly after the wedding drama blew up, and it’s being interpreted by fans and pop culture watchers as Romeo’s way of affirming his loyalty to his parents despite the feud with his older brother.
