TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Mercy Health will once again host an event geared towards providing pregnant and new moms with support, information and resources, according to a press release.
The sixth annual Love Your Baby Health & Wellness Event will take place from 1-4 p.m. on Feb. 13 at Seaway Marketplace on 1707 Cherry St. in Toledo.
Participants will have access to a variety of activities and program information, including resources for pregnant moms, family health and wellness information, a welcome baby raffle and BS & BP screenings by Mercy Health nurses.
The event will feature representatives from are organizations including the Lucas County Health Department, Mercy Health Early Head Start and Mercy Health Pathways.
“Love Your Baby is about meeting families where they are and making sure they know they are not alone,” said Susan Zirkel, the community health program coordinator at Mercy Health – St. Vincent Medical Center. “By bringing trusted resources together in one place, we are helping parents access the tools and support they need during pregnancy and the early years of a child’s life.”
Event organizers say Mercy Health is committed to addressing infant mortality by providing high quality programs like these for pregnant moms to improve birth outcomes and provide support to parents of children from birth to three years.
