Martin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy are going to be grandparents!

Jasmin Lawrence and Eric Murphy, the children of the famous actors and comedians, have announced that they are expecting their first child together. The news was recently shared by the couple on social media.

The couple revealed the exciting and heart-warming news on January 2 and also shared a glimpse of their intimate pregnancy photoshoot with a series of stunning pictures.

“Thank you, Jesus, for the greatest gift,” the couple captioned the post.

In the first black-and-white picture, Jasmin can be seen wearing an off-the-shoulder dress that hugged her body, showing her baby bump, with Eric resting his head on her stomach.

The remaining two shared pictures included a solo shot of Jasmin, with her hands on her stomach.

While the couple’s announcement was cute and calm, Martin, on the other hand, struggled to contain his excitement at becoming a first-time grandfather.

The actor excitedly took to Instagram, expressing deep happiness about the news of his first grandchild.

“What a blessing to start the day! My heart is overflowing with love and gratitude after the announcement of my first grandchild! Watching @jasmin_lawrence and @ericmurphy777 begin this journey into parenthood means everything to me.

“Family is everything – and this moment is nothing less than a blessing from God. Welcome to the next generation!”

Martin’s post was accompanied by pictures of the couple’s pregnancy photoshoot.

In November 2024, Eric and Jasmin got engaged after three years of dating, and a few months later, in May 2025, the couple eloped and tied the knot in an intimate ceremony with just the two of them.

Eddie confirmed the news of their wedding after his appearance on the “Jennifer Hudson Show”, revealing that while everybody was making big wedding plans, the couple decided to elope and get married at church with not even one family member or friend present.

Jasmin and Eric’s pregnancy announcement post was flooded with congratulatory messages.
