After rapper Nicki Minaj ruthlessly targeted Chrissy Teigen in a post after the 68th annual Grammy Awards, we’re taking a closer look into their public feud, which first ignited in 2016.

During the 2026 Grammy Awards, comedian and host Trevor Noah delivered a number of savage jokes, including one targeting Nicki and her friendship with President Donald Trump. After the pointed jab, the camera panned to the audience, where Chrissy was seen giggling and throwing a thumbs-up to the camera.

After seemingly throwing shade towards Nicki with her reaction to the joke, Nicki wasted no time including her in a scathing rant on X. In her lengthy post, the 43-year-old artist took aim at the model as she wrote, “Everyone knows Chrissy Teigen has/had a d-k. Allegedly.”

This comes as Chrissy has been the target of various unfounded conspiracy theories, including one regarding her gender, which have circulated in far-right online communities. Chrissy, however, never shot back at Nicki’s remark as she previously deactivated her X account due to ruthless online bullying.

While Nicki was not nominated at this year’s Grammy Awards, Chrissy was in attendance to support her husband, John Legend, who was nominated for Best Children’s Music Album for My Favorite Dream.

2026 Grammy Awards joke controversy

The beef between the two celebrities stemmed from a joke Trevor delivered at the Grammys, targeting Nicki. This comes as the rapper has been entangled in fierce backlash online as she has showcased her support for the Trump administration.

During his opening monologue, Trevor said, “Nicki Minaj is not here. She’s still at the White House with Donald Trump, discussing very important issues. ‘Actually, Nicki, I have the biggest a–! Everybody’s saying it. I know they say it’s you, but it’s me. WAP, WAP, WAP. Look at it, baby.’”

Trevor was met with laughter and roaring applause to the joke, but Nicki wasted no time going on a furious rant on social media after the ceremony wrapped. In her long-winded post, Nicki wrote in part, “They’ve been trying to stall all my projects in hopes I’d lose a bunch of money & beg them for help. Their leaders still think it’s a joke. The destruction that’s about to come down on them isn’t funny. I told y’all to leave me alone. Now you’ll understand why you should’ve just sat there & taken your meds.”

She continued, “They’re flying in immigrants to vote b/c they reneged on all the promises they made to African Americans & can no longer get the African American vote by default. They’re causing distractions in the streets to distract from the billions they stole from tax payers.”

Chrissy chimes in on Nicki Minaj vs. Farrah Abraham drama

But this isn’t the first time that Chrissy has inserted herself in drama. Back in 2016, Chrissy took to X responding to a fiery feud between Nicki and reality star Farrah Abraham. Their angry exchange on the platform stemmed from Nicki being outraged by the way Farrah treated her mother, Debra, on the MTV show Teen Mom.

After watching an episode of the reality series, Nicki posted, “Farrah is a c–t to her mother.” Farrah responded by accusing Nicki of being hungry for attention and told her to “stop watching reruns and go to church.”

A follower then responded to Nicki’s X post about Farrah’s daughter slapping her and Nicki said that Farrah should “do some porn” instead of fighting with her mother. Farrah then hit back at Nicki as she wrote, “Cause your a parent right? Your videos look like porn. Horrible good luck being negative.”

This escalated further with Nicki posting, “Your mother didn’t open her legs and have that child. Be happy she’s helping! Stop talking to her like that on tv u lil c–t.”

After the whole ordeal went down, Chrissy decided to chime in with her reaction as she posted, “Nicki minaj VS farrah abraham is not something I knew I so badly wanted before.”
