Bad Bunny is the headlining act for the Super Bowl LX game, where the Seattle Seahawks confront the New England Patriots at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on February 8, 2026
Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny, 31, nearly risked losing his Super Bowl Halftime Show performance as Grammys host Trevor Noah, 41, pressured him to break his contract.
The Puerto Rican superstar from Vega Baja — who has an estimated net worth of $100 million — was announced as the headlining act for Super Bowl LX back in September 2025. Before taking the Super Bowl stage for his halftime performance at Super Bowl LX on Sunday, February 8, the rapper attended the Grammy Awards as one of the most nominated artists of the night with six nominations.
During CBS’s broadcast of the Grammys on Sunday night, Noah sat next to the singer and mentioned to the audience, “I know contractually you’re not allowed to perform anywhere else.” The former Daily Show host then recited the lyrics to Bad Bunny’s Spanish song, DtMF, to him.

The Grammy-winning artist kept his mouth closed, moving his microphone away, and pretended to sing along with Noah, who kept pressuring him to participate in the duet. The two sang together, “Que me ayuden!”, which means in English, “Someone help me!”
Noah screamed, “Bring in the band, baby!”
After the marching band played the rest of the song and finished performing, Noah reminded the music star of his contract, “If they sue you, that’s not me.”
He pressed on, “I think we’re doing the Super Bowl together.”
Bad Bunny shook his head no, waving his fingers back and forth. During the awards ceremony, the star took the prize for Best Música Urbana Album.
Before thanking the academy, his fans, and God, he said, “I’m going to say ICE out,” referring to the escalating tension between protestors and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency in Minnesota.
After receiving a standing ovation, the star continued, “We are not savage. We are not animals, we are not aliens, we are humans, and we are Americans.”
“So please, we need to be different if we fight, we have to do it with love. We don’t hate them. We love our people,” he finished. “We love our family, and that’s the way to do it. With love. Don’t forget that, please. Thank you.”
Other artists such as Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish, and Kehlani wore “ICE OUT” pins at the Grammys.
Bad Bunny called out ICE amid the pattern of violence associated with the federal officers.
In early January, the late Renée Nicole Good, a 37-year-old citizen of Minneapolis, was fatally shot by an ICE officer. Around that time, in Los Angeles, Keith Porter Jr., a 43-year-old father of two, was also killed by an off-duty ICE agent. Alex Pretti is the most recent death amid the unrest in Minneapolis. Pretti was a 37-year-old ICU nurse who was shot by federal immigration agents on January 24 during protests after Good’s death.
