Baramati Plane Crash: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-SCP) veteran Sharad Pawar expressed grief over his nephew and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s death in a plane crash and dismissed rumours of any conspiracy around the crash.

In his first reaction, the NCP-SCP stalwart said that some people are trying to politicise this incident, but there is no politics in this, and the plane crash was purely an accident. Terming the accident as tragic, Sharad Pawar urged people not to politicise the incident.

“Some people are trying to politicise this incident, and I am very disappointed by that. There is no politics in this; this was a pure accident. The pain of this loss is something all of us in Maharashtra are feeling. Please, I request you, do not bring politics into this. That’s all I have to say,” he said.

Condoling his nephew’s death, Sharad Pawar said that this is a big loss for Maharashtra, which is hard to compensate for.

“This is a massive loss… and it is a loss for the entire Maharashtra. It’s hard to compensate for this. Today, we have everything we need, but losing a person like this is truly devastating,” he said.
