Victoria was honoured as a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French Ministry of Culture at an intimate ceremony.

Sir David Beckham told his wife Victoria Beckham “nobody deserves it more than you” as she was given a French knighthood. The honour comes amid the ongoing family rift with their eldest son, Brooklyn.

The Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer was joined by the rest of her family, including sons Cruz and Romeo and daughter Harper, as she was awarded the title of Chevalière de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres – a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters, honouring outstanding contributions to the arts and literature.

Meanwhile, son Brooklyn posted a lengthy TikTok video montage appearing to show a romantic getaway with his wife, Nicola Peltz. It featured clips of the couple hugging and kissing, shortly after he accused his parents of trying to sabotage their relationship and prioritising ‘Brand Beckham’.

Sharing a collection of photos on Instagram yesterday (January 26) from the ceremony in Paris, David wrote: “We are so proud of you and all that you have achieved @victoriabeckham. Being named a Chevaliere de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture… nobody deserves it more than you x We love you.”

During her speech, Victoria, 51, who runs her own luxury fashion label, said: “I’m so proud to be British but France is one of the few places fashion is treated with the seriousness it deserves, as a form of art.”

In an Instagram post shared on Monday evening, the former Spice Girl added: “I’m so honoured to be named a Chevaliere de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture. I have always deeply admired the French aesthetic and the seriousness with which it treats fashion: as a form of art.

“So to be recognised here and embraced in this way is a profound privilege — one that reflects decades of commitment and dedication. My sincere thanks to the French Minister of Culture, Rachida Dati, for this honour.

“Thank you also to business partners who believed in me, my family, and especially David — my husband, and original investor. I couldn’t be more grateful, you are my everything xx”

The family photos posted by both David and Victoria featured Cruz with his partner Jackie Apostel and Romeo alongside his girlfriend Kim Turnbull, but Brooklyn and his wife were notably absent after Brooklyn publicly said he has no desire to reconcile with his parents.

The 26-year-old made headlines last week after sharing a series of posts on his Instagram Story that appeared to confirm the rumours circulating since his 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz, the daughter of US billionaire Nelson Peltz.

In the posts, he accused his parents of “trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped”. He also claimed that his wife had been “disrespected” by his family.

The Beckhams’ second child, Romeo, also echoed his father Sir David’s sentiments in an Instagram post following the ceremony.

On Tuesday (January 27) morning, he wrote: “No one deserves this more than you xx love you mum.”
