DANGENE

Driven by personal experience and scientific rigor, Dangene is redefining skincare as a pathway to confidence, care and lasting transformation.

“As a young woman, struggling with severe acne made me realize how much our skin affects not just how we look, but how we feel and carry ourselves in the world,” says Dangene. That early experience shaped not only her approach to skincare but also her life’s work. “When I began working on clients, I soon realized that this work can transform so much more than just people’s skin. Watching clients’ confidence and self-esteem grow gave me the drive to consider it my lifelong mission to help everyone I could feel truly empowered in their own skin.”

That ethos continues to guide Dangene’s practice. “I hope to bring about change by redefining what people expect from skincare and wellness,” she explains. Looking ahead, innovation remains central. “Every year we level up,” she says, investing in the latest technologies—and in her team—so clients always experience the most advanced, effective care available.

Morning routine: Movement—I do the same exercises every day, first thing in the morning, to start my day with intention and maintain my flexibility. I do a series of balancing movements, push-ups, squats, and planks.

Supplements: High-quality omega-3s and probiotics, vitamin D, magnesium, and a high-quality drinkable collagen—my favorite is Shore Magic.

Workout outfit: While I’m not brand loyal, I am very much a black-only New Yorker— simplifying your wardrobe saves so much time and energy.

Post-workout refuel: Water, water, water! And David Protein Bars—the fudge brownie is my favorite.

Workout: My personal trainer, David Kirsch, is always on speed dial and does virtual training with me when I’m away from NYC.

Always in my gym bag: I always travel with a hypochlorous acid spray. It calms my skin and also sanitizes without being harsh or disrupting the skin barrier.

Mindfulness app: I admittedly don’t love traditional meditation, but I do love the Calm app’s breathing exercises. They’re so helpful for managing stress and also just to remind me to slow down and focus.

Skincare essential: An exfoliator— dead skin cells can build up on your face and inside the pores (at a much faster rate if you have acne), and exfoliating is key to turnover. Because my skin is so reactive, azelaic acid is the only chemical exfoliant I can tolerate, namely An-Dew by Anfisa. I’m absolutely obsessed with this serum and confident even the most sensitive skin can benefit from it.

Favorite hotel: Because we have another location in Milan, my wife and I spend half our lives in Italy, and one of my favorite destinations for relaxation and wellness is the Image Regenerative Institute in nearby St. Moritz.

Podcast: Purist Podcast with Cristina Cuomo—it brings together credible voices in wellness and science, offering a balanced, intelligent approach to health, beauty, and longevity.

Wellness trend worth the hype: LED therapy—I’ve been using LEDs in skincare for almost 30 years. They make such a huge difference in recovery, radiance, and overall skin health.

MOLLY SIMS

Molly_2692_0KT6E

For Molly Sims, founding YSE Beauty was a deeply personal response to her own skincare journey—an intentional, purpose-driven brand built to serve women overlooked by the industry and empower confidence at every stage of life.

After years of struggling with hyperpigmentation and melasma, Molly Sims grew frustrated with products that overpromised and underdelivered in an industry that overlooked her generation. “I didn’t see a brand that truly spoke to women like me, the Gen X consumer,” she says. “For me, founding YSE wasn’t about adding another chapter to my career; it was about building something meaningful that helps women feel confident in their skin at every stage.” That purpose-driven approach defines YSE Beauty, a brand rooted in transparency, performance and trust. Her routine re ects the balance she brings to her brand, built on movement, hydration, sleep and simple daily rituals. “Health and wellness are my non-negotiables,” she says. Looking ahead, Sims is focused on expanding her brand with new launches and a full Sephora rollout—building a company, and a life, that celebrates feeling good from the inside out.

COLLEEN BROOKS & HAILEY BROOKS

250808_MossNYC_715

Sister co-founders Colleen and Hailey Brooks are redefining how New York gathers at Moss, blending community, culture, and wellness under one roof.

In a city defined by constant motion, Moss (moss.nyc) offers something rarer: a place to pause, connect, and think expansively. Founded by sisters Colleen Brooks, Co- Founder and President, and Hailey Brooks, Co-Founder and Creative Director, Moss is less a single concept than a thoughtfully layered ecosystem—one that reflects the founders’ belief that modern life thrives at the intersection of culture, wellness, and community.

The idea was born from a clear gap they observed in New York’s landscape. “We saw an opportunity for a space in the market to create something in the city that embraced multiple different verticals, from social to wellness pursuits, and a community of shared intellectual interests,” Colleen explains. That ambition—to create a home for curiosity as much as connection—guides every detail of Moss, from its programming to its aesthetic sensibility. Together, the Brooks sisters have created a destination that redefines wellness today.

COLLEEN BROOKS

Breakfast: Overnight oats and a pastry

Workout: I love pairing a strength class with yoga. The contrast of intensity and recovery feels so good.

Workout shoes: My Nike Pegasus 41s, without a doubt. They feel like you’re running on a cloud. Gym bag: Stay tuned for a custom Bedrock gym bag that we’re launching very soon.

Workout app: I don’t typically use workout apps. I love the social side of working out and being around other people. It’s also one of the biggest reasons Hailey and I built Moss: to build friendships and community through sport and wellness and to keep expanding that.

Mindfulness rituals: I love yoga—it really resets my nervous system.

Morning skincare routine: I’m obsessed with Augustinus Bader—their Rich Cream is a total game-changer.

Aesthetic treatments: Love the Bedrock facial, which uses microcurrent stimulation and oxygenation and is super refreshing.

Wellness rituals: When I have the ime, I try to fit n contrast therapy at Bedrock after every workout.

Escape: Mallorca. love it there.

HAILEY BROOKS

Wake-up time: I would stay in bed all day if I could, but I get up bright and early every day to take my dog to the park.

Breakfast: Coffee immediately, and then yogurt, granola and fresh fruit.

Workout: Nothing beats a good reformer Pilates session.

Workout outfit: We custom-designed our Bedrock trainer tracksuits

Workout app: The Moss App for Collective Training down at Bedrock!

Workout buddy: My sister, Colleen, of course!

Morning skincare routine: Soffe Pavitt is my holy grail for skincare. We’re hosting a Moss Talk with her later this month—can’t wait to pick her brain!

Haircare treatments: I love weekly hair oiling, a scalp massage and Bedrock’s amenities partner NONFICTION’s shampoo and conditioner. Twice a week, I’ll use the Oribe Gold Lust Transformative hair mask. I also just started going to an amazing head spa in Koreatown, Lu Dream Spa.

Lunch: A Miso Caesar with a jammy egg from Babette when I’m in a rush, oysters if I’m feeling fancy.
