THE TWO VIRGINIAS (WVVA) – Walmart is bringing free health screenings and wellness services to your community this Saturday with The Wellness Event.
The nationwide health experience takes place Saturday, January 24th from 10am to 2pm at Walmart locations across the country, including stores throughout the two Virginias.
Customers can access free screenings, no-cost flu shots and other affordable immunizations without an appointment.
What’s available at the event
- Free health screenings: Blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose and BMI checks at nearly 4,600 Walmart pharmacies
- Vision screenings: Complimentary exams at select Vision Center locations
- No-cost flu shots: Plus affordable options for RSV, shingles, tetanus, HPV and more
- Expert guidance: Walmart pharmacists offering nutrition insights and personalized health recommendations
- Exclusive wellness boxes: Sample boxes filled with nutrition-forward snacks, supplements and wellness products to help customers jumpstart healthier habits
More wellness resources year-round
Beyond the Saturday event, Walmart has lowered prices on over 1,000 wellness products and recently launched Better Care Services, giving customers access to virtual care providers with discounts available on certain telehealth services.
Walmart Pharmacy Delivery also brings prescriptions and everyday essentials straight to your door, reaching more than 95% of U.S. households with express delivery available as fast as 30 minutes.
Since 2014, Walmart’s wellness events have delivered more than 5 million free health screenings nationwide, making it easy for people to take charge of their health.
