The Delhi government has taken a significant step to alleviate traffic congestion in the capital by approving three critical road projects. The announcement was made by PWD Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh on Tuesday.
The new projects include the construction of a flyover on Janakpuri-Pankha Road and the repair of the Zakhira and Seelampur flyovers. This move is expected to improve road safety, ensure smoother traffic flows, and upgrade infrastructure resilience across the city.
A feasibility study and a detailed project report will be conducted for the new flyover on Janakpuri-Pankha Road. Additionally, the Zakhira flyover will undergo a Rs 20.18 crore makeover to address waterlogging and structural issues, while Seelampur flyover will see repairs worth Rs 17.85 crore.
