Brooklyn Beckham sent shockwaves across the globe with his bombshell statement regarding the ongoing feud with his family

Brooklyn Beckham has sent shockwaves around the world with his explosive Instagram statement about the long-running and bitter feud with his parents, Victoria and David Beckham. The 26-year-old alleged that his mother attempted to “hijack” his wedding to wife Nicola Peltz Beckham and revealed he has no intention of trying to “reconcile” with his family.

However Brooklyn didn’t stop there. In six Instagram Stories, the amateur chef made a string of shocking claims, sharing a very personal look at the tensions simmering behind the scenes in one of the world’s most famous families. From claims of inappropriate behaviour to accusations of his parents’ lifelong interference, his posts left little unspoken.

He began his statement, penning: “I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.”

It was also reported last week that Brooklyn has sent a legal letter to his parents, requesting they stop contacting him online, as the constant tags and mentions were taking a toll on his mental health.

“Talk about pressing the nuclear button. Brooklyn’s explosive six-page statement ticks off every grievance going in eye-watering detail that makes you wince. Inappropriate behaviour by his mum who hijacked his first dance? Being controlled by his family all his life?

“This is like an X-rated version of Coleen Rooney’s infamous Wagatha post….but ten times more brutal in its execution. Am I surprised by the sheer level of ferocity towards his family?

“After speaking to sources at the heart of the drama for the last 12 months, it’s fair to say such animosity had been bubbling away behind the scenes for some time. Some might mutter it was only a matter of time before Brooklyn snapped.

“It’s fair to say that Brooklyn hated the suggestion he was somehow at the mercy of his domineering wife. His friends have blasted such a narrative as ‘deeply misogynistic’ and he’s repeatedly told pals he doesn’t stand for his wife being ‘vilified’.

“‘It’s a story as old as time: blame the woman for the man’s actions. It’s just deeply insulting,’ one pal told me last week. In the end, it just got too much.

“Where does this leave David and Victoria? They will be devastated that this has broken into the public domain in such excruciating circumstances.

“I revealed last week how Brooklyn was very much ploughing a course away from his family – even as other wide-of-the-mark reports suggested he was wavering and a reconciliation was on the cards. After this 821-word statement….there really is no going back.”
