Brooklyn Beckham has publicly criticised his mother Victoria Beckham in an Instagram statement

Brooklyn Beckham has disclosed that his mother left him mortified on his wedding day. What should have been the most joyous occasion of his life, marrying Nicola Peltz, was marred by what the son of David and Victoria remembers for his mum’s unsuitable conduct.

As tensions within the family continue to play out publicly, Brooklyn has ended his silence regarding the rift with a blistering statement. Buried within the Instagram tirade was a particularly damning accusation levelled at the former Spice Girl, Victoria.

The 26 year old alleges his mum “hijacked” the newlyweds’ first dance before 500 guests at Nicola’s family’s seafront mansion in Palm Beach, Florida, on April 9, 2022. Despite the couple having carefully planned the moment for weeks due to its significance, Brooklyn claims his mother left his bride standing aside, reports the Mirror.

In his extensive social media outpouring shared on Monday, January 19, Brooklyn stated: “Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead. She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone.

“I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life. We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment.”

The sharp comments came as just one of several harsh statements from David and Victoria’s eldest son. He further alleged the pair had been “trying endlessly to ruin” his relationship with the American actress ahead of their nuptials.

And whilst he acknowledges he’d been attempting to keep their family disputes behind closed doors, he insists he felt compelled to stand up for himself.

He maintained he has no plans to patch things up with his parents and vehemently rejected suggestions he was under his wife’s influence.

On the contrary, he staunchly stood by her whilst claiming his family had “consistently disrespected” her.

He also sought to challenge reports he’d snubbed his father’s 50th birthday festivities.

Whilst May reports suggested Brooklyn and Nicola were conspicuously absent as the rest of the family celebrated, Brooklyn insists he’d made efforts to attend.

He revealed that he and his wife had flown to London for the party, but were “rejected for a week as we waited in our hotel room”.

Brooklyn maintains his dad blocked their attempts at a reunion unless he turned up to the main event.

“When he finally agreed to see me, it was under the condition that Nicola wasn’t invited,” Brooklyn penned.

“It was a slap in the face. Later, when my family travelled to LA, they refused to see me at all.”

Despite his impassioned words, Brooklyn concluded by expressing that he wakes up each day “grateful for the life I chose”.

He shared that he has since discovered “peace and relief” and simply desires peace and happiness for their future family together.
