The park, home to diverse wildlife, has closed several entry points and engaged in extensive evacuation measures. Local rivers have overflowed, heightening concerns around safety in the area. The South African National Defence Force is actively aiding in evacuation operations, including using helicopters to reach stranded residents and emergency medical transports.
