A wanted Chattanooga man is facing several new charges for leading police on a high-speed chase that started on Shallowford Road and ended on Rossville Boulevard.
Chattanooga police saw a Black Nissan Altima traveling 60 miles per hour in a posted 30 miles per hour zone, according to an affidavit obtained by Local 3 News.
Once officers attempted a traffic stop at Tunnel Blvd. and Shallowford Road, the driver reportedly accelerated and fled from police at a high rate of speed. At one point during the chase, police say he was going over 120 miles per hour.
The driver, who they identified as Darrell Bridges, had multiple felony warrants for his arrest.Â
He eventually stopped on Rossville Boulevard, where police arrested him for speeding, evading arrest, and reckless endangerment.
Online court records show he’s already facing aggravated burglary, domestic assault, kidnapping, and drug charges.
His next court appearance is Friday, January 16.
