BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -The Med Center Health and Wellness Expo is coming up this weekend.
The organization has been hosting the event for more than 20 years and offers the public a unique opportunity to receive free health screenings and education on health-related topics that they may not have access to otherwise.
“So some of the key screenings that we’ve got this year, we’ve got some new ones that we’re really excited about. We’ve got the bone density for women, we’ve got cholesterol and A1C, those are in limited supply so I would get there early if you’d like that. We have kidney screenings, hearing screenings, vision screenings, EKGs, blood pressure… so lots of good screenings at the event this year,” said MCH health and wellness director, Sarah Widener.
“Depending on, you know, whether you have insurance, what type of insurance coverage you have, requirements, you know, these cost… These tests can cost..be costly for some people, so it’s a great spot, again, to just come in and get those things done,” Widener continued.
The event takes place on Saturday, Jan. 11, from 8 a.m..- 11:30 a.m. at the Sloan Convention Center in Bowling Green.
