David Beckham is set to mark a huge milestone moment on Hollywood Boulevard, just miles from Brooklyn’s LA home.

Sir David Beckham’s long-awaited debut on Hollywood Boulevard is set to mark one of his proudest milestones of his post-football career. However, behind the scenes there are fears it could expose some unresolved family drama with his eldest son Brooklyn Beckham.

The former England captain, 50, is set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as part of the Class of 2025. This honour follows the global success of his 2023 Netflix documentary and cements his crossover from sports legend to entertainer.

The unveiling of his Hollywood star is set to take place in the coming months, before the World Cup arrives in the US in summer. However, the milestone moment is likely to come with an uncomfortable question hanging in the air: will his eldest son Brooklyn show up for the occasion?

The 26-year-old lives less than five miles from the proposed ceremony site, in his Beverly Hills mansion with his wife and actress Nicola Peltz. Despite the close proximity, insiders say there is concern that lingering strain in the Beckham family may lead to a a noticeable absence on one of Sir David’s most public days yet.

A source told The Sun : “Brooklyn snubbing David’s special day will be a very public humiliation as he lives in Hollywood. Of course, David is hopeful the family will have mended their relations by then, especially after he has offered an olive branch to Brooklyn. The rift has been a great cause of heartache.”

The timing is particularly sensitive as Beckham shared a heartfelt Instagram post on New Year’s Eve, featuring all four of his kids, including a smiling throwback image with Brooklyn, captioned: ‘I love you all so much.’ Fans noted that Brooklyn did not publicly respond but Victoria also reposted the image.

David’s Walk of Fame star will feature his ‘Sir’ title, following his knighthood by King Charles last year.

Nominees are given up to two years to set a date for their ceremony, allowing the Beckhams time to hopefully mend their bond with Brooklyn before the big day.

This year’s class also includes punk rock band veterans Green Day to Oscar-nominated actress Jessica Chastain and hip-hop star Busta Rhymes.

Frosty relations between Victoria and David and their eldest son reportedly stems all the way back to his 2022 wedding, after his wife Nicola reportedly refused to wear one of Victoria’s dress designs.

However, the couples managed to resolve their disagreement, putting on numerous jolly displays at events and even spending Christmas together in 2024.

However, when Romeo started dating Kim Turnbull, relations soured once more with claims that she previously dated Brooklyn too.

The Beckham feud became apparent to the public when Brooklyn and Nicola were noticeably absent from all of the football star’s 50th birthday celebrations in May.

He has since blocked all of his family members online after his youngest brother Cruz revealed that the entire Beckham clan had woken up to the savage move.

Over the Christmas period, Brooklyn made it clear where his loyalties lie, vowing to always ‘choose’ Nicola, declaring it was the two of them ‘forever’ in a telling Instagram post.

Nicola and Brooklyn also renewed their wedding vows in the summer after just three years in front of the entire Peltz family with none of the Beckham clan in sight.
