Breaking Update: Here’s a clear explanation of the latest developments related to Breaking News:Ursids 2025: When Where & How To Watch The Final Meteor Shower Of The Year– What Just Happened and why it matters right now.

Ready to catch some Ursids? The final meteor shower of 2025 is already happening. With around 10 meteors per hour, the Ursids will be most visible between December 21 and 22. The Ursid activity begins annually around December 17 and continues until Christmas. Per NASA, if you miss it, you may still be lucky on December 23, with an extended show.

If you have decent binoculars, you may train them towards the meteor’s radiant, or its point of origin in the sky, which is Ursa Minor. It (Ursa Minor) is a part of the constellation that makes the Little Dipper. The shooting stars will be visible in most of the Northern Hemisphere.

Ursids are fragments of a periodic comet, 8P/Tuttle, which has an orbital period of 20 years. The comet was first discovered in January 1858 by Horace Parnell Tuttle. The discovery of Ursids is attributed to William Denning, a citizen astronomer in the 19th century. The British amateur stargazer discovered five comets in his lifetime.

If you wanna catch a glimpse of the Ursids, then head over to a site devoid of city lights with warm, comfortable clothes, preferably in the company of a stargazing squad. Train your eyes towards the radiant point of the Ursids. Not as stellar as the Geminids, however, any meteor shower is worth a watch.
